Welcome to Rare and Relatable.
When Louisa was around three years old, I decided to write a blog about my journey as a mother parenting a disabled child. This blog has been an outlet for me to share my thoughts through the years as I navigate the this parenting journey that is quite different to the one I originally envisioned. Over the years, I have dipped in and out of writing, it has often been hard to find the words to describe our experiences as my love and happiness is often interlinked with worry and heartache. But I think as Louisa grows, this blog will hopefully act as a poignant record of some of the things we have been through and how we have always celebrated and adored our beautifully unique daughter even when things have been tough.
Follow our rare and relatable experiences as we navigate our way through life – learning, laughing, loving, advocating, crying and, ultimately, enjoying all the special little moments that our incredible little girl brings to our lives. 💖
